With inside recessed mounting holes as well as outside mounting tabs there are many ways to attach the holder to your airframe.
Recommendation of shock absorbing material(such as faom or fuzzy size of vecro)under the ibec and then retained in the holder with a strap. Installing the ibec in the the holder will protect against vibration as well as give protection in the case of a alternative landing.
